Union County Performing Arts Center is housed in the restored Rahway Theatre, conveniently located in Downtown Rahway within close proximity NJ Transit train station.

ON STREET PARKING On Street Parking is available along Irving Street, Main Street, Central Avenue and Hamilton Street. See the map above for the street locations.
NEIGHBORHOOD SPACES There are over 500 neighborhood spaces located within a few blocks of the Arts Center. Please feel free to use any of these. However, do be mindful - some streets have time limits. Watch the signs closely. Please note that tickets are issued for parking violations.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING With a state issued permit, you may park in any of the designated accessible parking spaces near the theatre. Availability is on a first come first served basis. For further information or questions please call the box office at 732-499-8226.
RAHWAY PARKING DECK The multi-level parking deck is located approximately four blocks from the Arts Center; on the corner of Main Street and Lewis Street. See A1 and A on the map above. The parking deck is opend 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A FREE SHUTTLE is often available to and from the theatre. Call the box office for shuttle schedule information.

Driving Directions FROM THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY
Take EXIT 135 (Clark/Westfield). Around the Parkway square, follow signs and traffic lights for Rahway – this will put you on Brant Avenue. At the light, make a left onto Westfield Avenue. Follow Westfield to the fourth traffic light and make a right onto Irving Street. (Note: At the third traffic light cross over St Georges Ave, Westfield Avenue becomes West Grand Avenue) The Arts Center is two blocks ahead on your left.
FROM THE NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE(NORTHBOUND)
Exit at exit 12 (Rahway/Carteret) and turn right at the first light after the tollbooth (Roosevelt Avenue). Follow Roosevelt Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles (it will turn into Randolph Avenue) to the traffic light at the intersection of Woodbridge Rd./Rahway Ave. (the DMV inspection station will be in front of you). Turn right at the light onto Woodbridge Rd. Turn left at the next light onto East Hazelwood Avenue. Proceed under the Route 1 & 9 overpass and turn right at the next light onto Main Street. Follow Main Street to the traffic light at Elizabeth Avenue. Make a left onto Elizabeth Avenue. At the stop sign make a right onto Irving Street. The UC PAC is one block ahead on the right.
FROM THE NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE (SOUTHBOUND FROM NYC)
Take EXIT 13 (Elizabeth/Linden). Follow signs for Route 278 West to Route 1 & 9 South. Follow directions below FROM ROUTES 1& 9 (SOUTHBOUND).
FROM ROUTES 1 & 9 (NORTHBOUND)
After entering Rahway, you will see East Milton Avenue at the traffic light. Take the Milton Avenue U-Turn. Stay straight on Milton Avenue and then make a right onto Main Street. The Rahway Transportation Center Garage (parking deck) is on the left. Follow Main Street to the traffic light at Elizabeth Avenue. Turn left onto Elizabeth Avenue. At the stop sign make a right onto Irving Street. The UC PAC is one block ahead on the right.
FROM ROUTES 1 & 9 (SOUTHBOUND)
Drive through Elizabeth and Linden into Rahway. Make a right onto East Milton Avenue. Follow East Milton Avenue to Main Street. Make a right onto Main Street. The Rahway Transportation Center Garage (parking deck) is on the left. Follow Main Street to the traffic light at Elizabeth Avenue. Turn left onto Elizabeth Avenue. At the stop sign make a right onto Irving Street. The UC PAC is one block ahead on the right.
FROM ROUTE 27 AND ST. GEORGES AVENUE (NORTHBOUND)
Follow Route 27 North into Rahway. In Rahway, you will make a left onto St. Georges Avenue as Route 27 becomes part of St. Georges. Follow St. Georges approximately 1.6 miles to the ninth light and turn right onto West Grand Avenue. (Note: Merchants and Drovers' Tavern is on your left.) At the next light make a right onto Irving Street. The Arts Center is two blocks ahead on your left.
FROM ST. GEORGES AVENUE (SOUTHBOUND)
Follow St. Georges Avenue South through Linden. As you enter Rahway make a left onto West Grand Avenue. (Note: Merchants and Drovers' Tavern is on your right.) At the next light make a right onto Irving Street. The Arts Center is two blocks ahead on your left.
FROM STATEN ISLAND & THE OUTERBRIDGE CROSSING
After entering Jersey take the second exit for Pfeiffer Boulevard. Continue along Pfieffer Boulevard to the Garden State Parkway North. Follow directions above FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY.
FROM STATEN ISLAND & THE GOETHALS BRIDGE
After entering Jersey follow signs for Route 278 West to Routes 1 & 9 South. Follow directions above FROM ROUTES 1& 9 (SOUTHBOUND).
VIA NEW JERSEY TRANSIT
Take the Rahway stop from the Northeast Corridor or the New Jersey Coast Train Lines. Upon exiting the train face the pavilion and turn left. Exit at the far end of the platform onto Irving Street. Continue North along Irving Street for 6 short blocks till you see our marquee on the right.
