Kinderhook is back!
Kinderhook was a hugely popular country-rock band on the New Jersey music scene in the 1970s and early ’80s.
The band, then known as Kinderhook Creek, routinely drew hundreds of people to shows at colleges and the Jersey Shore with their potent mixture of country rock and bluegrass, spiced with a dash of Southern rock.
They opened for national acts like Commander Cody, Conway Twitty, Seals and Croft, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Roger McGuinn, Outlaws, Poco and Joan Jett.
Today’s lineup includes original members Jerry Kopychuk (guitar and banjo), Andy Fediw (bass guitar) Craig Barry (drums), John Korba (keyboards and guitar) and longtime Cowtown member Jim Ryan (pedal steel and guitar). All the members are lead singers, giving the band its distinctive vocal presence.
A Kinderhook show contains a unique blend of original music mixed in with their own takes on country classics.
