As the first event of its kind in the emerging cultural hub of Rahway Arts District, Rahway Film Festival was founded in 2013 to help cultivate the arts and film scene in Central New Jersey. The idea for Rahway Film Festival was born when founder, Gina Rodriguez, was inspired to do something to help create more opportunities for aspiring, independent, and often times struggling artists like herself in her local community.  Rahway Film Festival is run by a team of volunteers and is made possible exclusively through public donation. Our mission is to provide artists worldwide with an outlet to showcase their work and to be appreciated in their field, all while helping grow the community of our artistic brethren and encourage art-lovers to celebrate independent art.

Not a filmmaker? That’s okay! We welcome you to join the party in celebrating our talented artists! Join us for a night of LIVE MUSICFREE FOOD, and GREAT FILMS. Winning short films will be honored and will be decided by the audience, A.K.A. YOU!

Comedian Max Antonucci will be hosting the event with special performances by local bands, Onto Something and The Agony Family.  In addition, we will be presenting a special showcase of a new animated short personally gifted to us by Oscar-nominated animator BILL PLYMPTON

Come visit Rahway Film Festival as we PROMISE it will be an event to remember!l

This event will be presented at UC PAC's Hamilton Stage,
located at 360 Hamilton Street, Rahway, NJ 07065.
