Union County's Sensory Friendly Theatre series continues at the UC PAC with New Jersey Ballet's production of PINOCCHIO - The next installment in Union County's Sensory Friendly Theater series, ''Pinocchio'' presented by New Jersey Ballet, is one of several performances specially designed for children with Autism and related disabilities presented at the Union County Performing Arts Center on November 4 at 2PM. UNION COUNTY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER SIGNS MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH LIVE NATION?S HOUSE OF BLUES ENTERTAINMENT DIVISION - Union County Performing Arts Center, the cornerstone of the Rahway Arts District, has taken a giant leap forward in its booking policy to place the historic, 1,300-seat venue on par with New Jersey?s elite theaters with top-level entertainment.
The recently renovated 84-year-old facility has signed a multi-year deal with Live Nation, the world?s leading concert promoter?s House of Blues Entertainment (HOBE) division to produce at least 40 shows a year on its main stage, starting this month.

Rahway's new Hamilton Stage will open on September 22 with a benefit performance and post-theater party: Hello Hamilton! - Hamilton Stage a new theatre venue for New Jersey - will launch its inaugural season on September 22 at 7:30pm with a benefit celebration: Hello Hamilton!
With its 199-seat Proscenium Theater and 60-seat Front Room Theater, Hamilton Stage is a significant expansion of the Union County Performing Arts Center. Its opening accelerates Rahway?s claim as one of the state?s most promising new creative places.

Affordable Artist Housing Survey - The Actors Fund Housing Development Corporation (AFHDC) today launched a market study to determine the interests of performing and visual artists and others associated with the arts, entertainment and creative industries in affordable housing in Rahway, NJ. In an event at the new Hamilton Stage, the AFHDC began a four-week initiative to survey artists from metropolitan New York to Trenton, NJ. Survey results will help shape the Rahway Residence for the Arts, a 69-unit affordable housing project the AFHDC will develop in the Rahway Arts District (RAD).

National Endowment for the Arts Announces 2012 Our Town Grant Recipients - The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) today announced 80 Our Town grant awards totaling $4.995 million and reaching 44 states and the District of Columbia. Union County Performing Arts Center is one of the grantees and will receive $75,000 to fund RAHWAY ARTsPART -- an 18-month initiative to plant innovative programming that fosters community interaction as the guiding principle of Union County Performing Arts Center and its new Hamilton Stage, the City of Rahway's Redevelopment Agency, Arts Guild New Jersey, LuceGroup, Rahway Arts District, and a wide array of artistic and community partners.
