Union County’s Four Centuries Weekend: Union County Performing Arts Center

Celebrating its 93rd Birthday, Union County Performing Arts Center, our beautifully restored 1920’s vaudeville theater will be open on Saturday, October 16th during Union County’s Four Centuries Weekend.  Guided tours given on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Journey through our history and the construction/preservation of this National and State registered building, and get to explore sections of the theater not normally open to the public with a theater historian/author.  From the projection booth that ran 9 decades of iconic movies to the great “Biggest Little Wurlitzer” 2/7 organ.  This organ was the catalyst for the preservation effort from which the 1,300 seat Arts Center emerged. Carefully restored to its golden age of grandeur, and still hosting performances in its 9th decade, the Arts Center is a monument of an age gone by.
