SUMMARY:PINK FLAMINGOS IN 35MM
DESCRIPTION:Pink Flamingos in 35mm\nThursday\, May 21\nDoors: 6 PM\nFilm: 7 PM\nTickets: $17 in advance/ $22 day of show (All In Pricing)\nHoney\, stick around after the show; lip synch for your life to win prizes!\n \nJoin us for John Waters’ notorious 1972 cult classic\, starring the inimitable Divine as a self-proclaimed queen of filth competing in a grotesque rivalry for the title of “the filthiest person alive.” Waters uses camp\, drag\, and excess to expose the hypocrisy of moral respectability and the performative nature of celebrity. Outrageous\, rebellious\, and defiantly disgusting\, Pink Flamingos\, part of Waters’ Trash Trilogy\, remains a radical statement and an important chapter in movie history. In 2021\, the Library of Congress selected “Pink Flamingos” for preservation in the US National Film Registry for being “culturally\, historically\, or aesthetically significant.” \nLip Sync for your life! Sign up for our Lip Sync battle before the movie and then join us on stage after the movie to compete for prizes! Hosted by Drag Queens Gretchen Sanity and Very Gerry. Plus\, enjoy a cocktail and dress as Divine as you dare or your finest drag attire! \nRated NC-17. This 35mm presentation is part of the I. Joseph Hyatt Classic Film Series. \n \n \n \n Check out the City of Rahway’s Dinner & Show Deals! \nSee all of UCPAC’s Upcoming Events

SUMMARY:EDDIE B - IF THESE CLASSROOM WALLS COULD TALK TOUR
DESCRIPTION:Eddie B – If These Classroom Walls Could Talk Tour\nFriday\, June 26\nDoors: 7 PM\nShow: 8 PM\nUCPAC’s Main Stage\nTickets: $35-$55 (All in Pricing)\n \nBy popular demand\, America’s favorite teacher comedian Eddie B returns to UCPAC’s Main Stage with his “If These Classroom Walls Could Talk” tour! \nEddie B soared to new heights by creating his own opportunity starting with his series of comical videos titled “What Teachers Really Want to Say.” In a matter of hours\, those videos sparked the attention of educators all over the country when they realized that they were not alone and finally had someone to joke about the things they were reluctant to say out loud. \nShortly after\, Eddie decided to take his videos to the stage selling out comedy clubs\, theaters\, and arenas with his “Teachers Only Comedy Tour” in 2017-2018 and the “I’m Already Professionally Developed Tour” in 2019- 2020. When the worldwide pandemic made it impossible for Eddie to see his fans in person\, he began performing his “Teachers Only” comedy virtually! Once things got back to normal in 2021\, Eddie returned to the stage to give educators more of his unfiltered comedy beginning with his “Teachers Only Summer Break Tour\,” and he has been going strong ever since! \nEddie B has established himself as the official voice of teachers across the globe. Educators from America to Africa\, Dallas to Dubai\, New York to New Delhi (and beyond) are getting a lesson in the funniest ways to express their worst frustrations and they are loving every second of Eddie B’s uncensored\, raw\, and hysterically realistic portrayal of a teacher’s hectic life\, from the point of view of an actual teacher! \nHis other shows at UCPAC’s Main Stage were sell outs\, so don’t wait – get your tickets today and get ready to celebrate the end of the school year with Eddie B’s “If These Classroom Walls Could Talk” tour! \n \nComing with a group of 10 or more? SUMMARY:I'M NOT A COMEDIAN...I'M LENNY BRUCE
DESCRIPTION:I’m Not a Comedian…I’m Lenny Bruce\nFriday\, October 2\nDoors: 7 PM\nShow: 8 PM\nTickets: $51-$78 (All In Pricing)\nPLEASE NOTE: This production is intended for mature audiences and contains strong language\, adult themes\, and brief nudity.\n \nCritically acclaimed actor Ronnie Marmo\, with the blessings of Kitty Bruce (daughter of the late Lenny Bruce)\, along with the Lenny Bruce Foundation\, proudly present “I’m Not a Comedian…I’m Lenny Bruce\,” directed by Joe Mantegna. \nThis captivating one-man theatrical performance chronicles the life and influential legacy of the Jewish comedy legend whose fight for freedom of speech is as relevant today as it was in the 1960s – perhaps even more so. Now more than ever\, Bruce’s legacy serves as an essential reminder of the importance of protecting voices that provoke\, challenge\, and defy authority — even when their messages make us uncomfortable. \nBruce’s personal pain\, sharply funny social commentary and completely original\, freestyle comedy left a lasting impact on today’s art and politics. His unwavering commitment to\, and passion for\, free speech led to numerous obscenity charges and arrests. Bruce fought for freedom of speech all the way to the Supreme Court and died of an accidental overdose in 1966 while out on appeal. \nLauded by fans and former friends of Bruce\, Marmo’s crowd-shocking portrayal brings the notorious funnyman to life with all the electrifying\, insightful and comedic brilliance as the one and only Lenny Bruce himself. \nAbout Ronnie Marmo \nUnion County native Ronnie Marmo (Playwright and Actor) and has starred in more than 60 feature films and television shows\, most recently guest starring in “Criminal Minds” and “Lethal Weapon.” He also starred in “Ammore E Malavita (Love and Bullets)” an Italian musical film which just won the David di Donatello for best picture (the Italian equivalent to an Academy Award). Other credits include “Back In The Day” (on Netflix now)\, “Deuces Wild\,” “Crocodile Dundee in LA\,” “West of Brooklyn\,” “Pizza With Bullets\,” “Truck 20’s Location\,” “Death of a Tree\,” “Irish Eyes” (aka “Vendetta”)\, and “Limbo Lounge.” \nHe has guest starred in several hit television shows including “JAG\,” and “The Young and the Restless.” He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by the Indie Soap Awards for his role as Crotch in the series\, “Adults Only.” Marno enjoyed a three-year run on ABC’s “General Hospital” as Ronnie Dimestico. \nOn stage\, he has starred in more than 40 plays.
