Guided by Ms. Frizzle\, the class must pull together to find their way across the galaxy while learning as much about teamwork as they do about the solar system. \nRecommended for ages 4-10. \n“The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System” is written by Marshall Pailet (book) and Matthew Lee Robinson (music & lyrics)\, based on the book series by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen. The original creative team includes direction and choreography by Connor Gallagher (Broadway: “Beetlejuice”)\, set design by Jason Sherwood (Broadway: “Living on Love”)\, costume design by Sarah Cubbage (Broadway: “Skylight\,” “Fish in the Dark”)\, and lighting design by David Lander (Broadway: “The Lightning Thief\,” “Torch Song”). THEATERWORKSUSA led the Theater for Young and Family Audiences movement in New York City and across North America for over half a century. At TWUSA\, we believe that access to art—and theater\, in particular—is vital for our youth. David Cedeño and his orchestra will open the show. \nThe comparison is inevitable. How could it be otherwise? Tito Puente Jr. carries his father with him – imprinted on his physical being and locked in his soul. It’s in his looks\, his joy\, and his music. \nThe younger Puente is on a passionate mission\, determined to nurture the musical legacy left by his father. He refuses to let his father become a distant memory. “He was just too vibrant\, too exciting. There was magic in the music my father made. It made people happy all over the world.” \nHe has found captive audiences who echo his passion. Crowds lured to a venue by the father are returning to see the son and to once again participate in the high voltage celebration that takes place on stage. \nTito Puente\, Jr. has become an audience favorite in casinos\, performing arts centers\, symphony halls and jazz festivals worldwide. His symphony appearances include Dallas\, San Antonio\, Colorado\, South Bend\, the Palm Desert Symphony and the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by the late Marvin Hamlisch. \nSpecial guest David Cedeño is a New Jersey based\, internationally known musician. With his orchestra\, he plays Latin salsa\, Latin jazz\, merengue\, and more!
