SUMMARY:MAHONING DRIVE IN ROAD SHOW 2026 - 35 MM DOUBLE FEATURE - THE EXORCIST & BEYOND THE DOOR
DESCRIPTION:Mahoning Drive-In Road Show 2026\n“Original/Rip-Off” 35mm Double Feature\nThe Exorcist & Beyond the Door\nSaturday\, February 28\nFood Truck Arrives: 6 PM\nDoors: 6 PM – Bar and Vendors Open\nOrgan Concert on our Biggest Little Wurlitzer: 6:30 PM\nFirst Feature – “The Exorcist”: 7:00 PM – 9:15 PM\nIntermission 9:15 PM – 9:45 PM\nSecond Feature – “Beyond the Door”: 9:45 PM – 11:45 PM\nTickets: $22 (All In Pricing)\n \nThe Mahoning Drive-In Road Show returns on Saturday\, February 28 with a 1970s 35mm “Original/Rip-Off” Drive-In double feature of “The Exorcist” (1973) and “Beyond the Door” (1974)! \nA Message from Mark from Mahoning: \nJoin Virgil and me from Pennsylvania’s 35mm movie mecca The Mahoning Drive-In Theater for an indoor night at the Drive-In\, complete with vintage snack bar ads\, trailers\, and an intermission reel between the films! We will introduce the show\, talk about the history of Drive-In theaters\, the Mahoning Drive-In\, and give a little insight into the two shockers about to be unspooled; then it’s 35mm madness unleashed upon the giant screen at UCPAC’s Main Stage! \nFirst up is one of the greatest horror films of all time\, William Friedkin’s “The Exorcist” (1973)\, starring Ellen Burstyn as the mother of a young girl (Linda Blair) who finds herself peskily possessed by a debauched demon\, who calls upon the clergy to perform the titular treatment to free the terrifyingly transformed teen! Jason Miller and Max Von Sydow star as the priests who do battle with the foul-mouthed possessor\, in a film that caused original audiences to be sick and flee theaters\, such was the shock of its onscreen intensity. Followed by sequels\, prequels\, and endless imitations\, but never surpassed in its ability to unsettle. Presented here in the 2000 “Version You’ve Never Seen” re-release\, with additional footage not seen until then. \nWe follow that classic with one of the first films to rip it off\, the Italian shocker “Beyond the Door” (1974). “Beyond this door\, the most terrifying event in the history of mankind is about to occur!” SEE the film that Warner Brothers sued for copyright infringement! This time it’s a pregnant woman (Juliet Mills) who’s filled to the brim with an unwanted demon\, and it’s up to her husband and a mysterious stranger (Richard Johnson\, “The Haunting”) to eradicate the blaspheming boogeyman! An over-the-top knock-off that recreates the “greatest hits” of the original while creating its own bonkers memorable moments that must be seen to be believed! \nJoin us in reliving the glory days of the Drive-In\, when the films were wild\, the popcorn was hot\, and double features were the order of the night! \n \n \nComing with a group of 10 or more? SUMMARY:LALAH HATHAWAY IN CONCERT
DESCRIPTION:Lalah Hathaway In Concert\nFriday\, March 6\nDoors: 7 PM\nShow: 8 PM\nTickets: $51 – $120 (All in Pricing)\n \nBy popular demand\, UCPAC welcomes Lalah Hathaway back to UCPAC’s Main Stage! \nFive-time Grammy winner Lalah Hathaway shares the record with Beyoncé for three ‘Best Traditional R&B Performance’ Grammy awards! Her latest album “Vantablack” features Rapsody\, Common\, MC Lyte\, Phonte\, Gerald Albright\, and Michael McDonald. Hathaway is a sought-after collaborator to some of today’s top hitmakers\, think Kendrick Lamar with her vocals appearing on “To Pimp a Butterfly.” Lalah Hathaway is undeniable music royalty\, and with vocal abilities matched by few\, this five-time Grammy award-winner is an acclaimed artist\, singer/songwriter\, and producer. Her talents have inspired invitations to the stage from music legends Prince\, Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock. As daughter to the late\, great Donny Hathaway and the product of an incredibly musical family\, Chicago-born and raised Lalah Hathaway has the most soulful of music running through her veins. \n \nA New Era\nLalah Hathaway releases her seventh solo studio album\, VANTABLACK\, her most empowered and impressive effort to date\, June 14th via Hathaway Entertainment/SRG Records. Along with co-producers Phil Beaudreu\, Ariza\, Warryn Campbell and Eric Dawkins\, Hathaway has created a sixteen track sonic landscape filled with dynamic production and superhuman vocals and is joined by feature performances from WILLOW\, Rapsody\, Common\, Michael McDonald\, Phonte\, MC Lyte and Gerald Albright. In Hathaway’s words\, ‘VANTABLACK takes its name from a pigment\, the darkest shade of black ever created. It felt so right for me and this project right now because I set out to make the blackest record EVER! And I did. This album represents the multiplicity of what being black means to me. And I love it!’ \nShe has earned praise from Billboard\, VIBE\, Essence\, the New York Times and performed on the highly sought after stages of NPR’s Tiny Desk and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Hathaway held the number one Adult R&B song in 2016 and in 2021 her song ‘Show Me Your Soul’ made the Oscars 2021 shortlist for Best Original Song. \nHer current single “So In Love” is climbing the charts as we move into the new era of VANTABLACK. \n  \n \nComing with a group of 10 or more? SUMMARY:LES MISÉRABLES PRESENTED BY THE ACADEMY FOR PERFORMING ARTS AT UCVTS
DESCRIPTION:Les Misérables\nPresented by the Academy for Performing Arts at UCVTS\nFriday\, March 13\nDoors: 6 PM\nShow: 7 PM\nSaturday\, March 14\nDoors: 6 PM\nShow: 7 PM\nSunday\, March 15\nDoors: 1 PM\nShow: 2 PM\nTickets: $19-$24 (All-In Pricing)\n \nSet in nineteenth-century France\, “Les Misérables” is a sweeping epic of love\, sacrifice\, and redemption. After years of unjust imprisonment\, Jean Valjean breaks parole to begin a new life\, determined to prove that mercy can triumph over hardship. But he is relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert\, a man bound to the law and unwilling to believe that people can truly change. \nAs revolution brews in the streets of Paris\, students rise up and lives intertwine in a powerful story of courage\, compassion\, and hope. At its heart is a father’s devotion\, a young woman’s dream\, and a society on the brink of transformation. \nBased on the novel by Victor Hugo and featuring one of the most iconic scores in musical theatre history\, this School Edition captures all the passion and grandeur of the world’s longest-running musical in a streamlined production running just over two hours. \n \n \n \n Check out the City of Rahway’s Dinner & Show Deals! \nSee all of UCPAC’s Upcoming Events
