Marketing Manager

Immediate Supervisor: Reports to the Executive Director
Job Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and implementation for program promotion for maximum effectiveness. This position identifies goals; provides marketing information and commentary; implements and oversees courses of action and directives. Essential to this is the development seasonal and production specific marketing strategies for the upcoming year. They also maintain relationships with clients/renters by organizing and developing customer-programs; determining company presence at street fairs, trade associations, and seminars. This position influences present and future successfulness of productions by determining and evaluating current and future market trends; maintains marketing staff by training and counseling employees and develops the staff by providing information and growth opportunities. This position also creates a unified design theme for all co-productions and UCPAC in-house shows. Directs and oversees support staff and associates. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: knowledge of professional practices, procedures and techniques of marketing and program promotion. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Three-plus years of experience in the performing arts marketing preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.

Production Manager

Job Summary:
Knowledge of all production disciplines:  scenic, lighting, sound, projection, video, stage management, etc.

Determine technical aspects (lighting, sound, staging, special needs) for events and performances presented at each venue

Design, set up, maintain and operate lighting and sound systems.  Assist guest designers with technical matters in dance, music, and other productions and projects

Supervise/assist with set and stage construction and management

Supervise and call productions*Maintain inventory of theater items (tools, hardware, equipment, supplies, props and sets)

Monitor condition of equipment including lighting, sound and rigging; arrange for repair and replacement; perform preventative maintenance on equipment

Create/implement visions of producers/directors.  Must understand the limitations of each venue.

Compensation commensurate with experience ($24-$30/hour)

Box Office Associate

Immediate Supervisor: Reports to the Box Office Manager
Job Summary: A UCPAC Box Office Associate is responsible for the smooth operation of our ticketing system and provides a friendly and helpful customer service experience during the ticket buying process. This is a forward facing position, working directly with our patrons, under the Box Office Manager’s supervision.  Responsibilities include: handling ticket purchase transactions (cash, credit card, or check) with our ticketing point-of-sale company (E-TIX), recording patron information consistently and accurately during transactions, occasionally importing or updating customer information, responding to messages left by patrons either via email or voicemail, answering patron complaints and inquiries in person or via telephone, forwarding issues to the Box Office Manager or other staff when necessary, printing and organizing Will Call tickets, and Preparing daily box office reports for the CFO (daytime associates only). Daytime associate shifts are available, night and weekend shifts may be required.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: A helpful and positive demeanor when dealing with customers, ability to stay calm and reassuring during high stress situations, experience with a ticketing point of sale preferred.
