GATHER AT UCPAC’S MAIN STAGE FOR A 35MM SCREENING OF THE CLASSIC FILM ‘THE GODFATHER PART II’
RAHWAY, NJ — Due to popular demand, the Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) will be hosting a screening of “The Godfather Part II” in 35mm on Friday, January 16. The screening is part of the performing arts center’s I. Joseph Hyatt Classic Film Series.
The 1974 film is the sequel to the famously known classic, “The Godfather,” which was released in 1972. “The Godfather Part II” features some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, and James Caan. The film follows Michael Corleone, Al Pacino’s character, and how he grows to defend his family’s criminal empire.
The sequel was groundbreaking in the film industry as it became the first sequel film ever to win the Academy Award for Best Picture at the Oscars and earned a total of six academy awards. As part of the event, there will be a concert on the Main Stage’s “Biggest Little Wurlitzer” organ prior to the screening; starting when doors open at 6 PM.
If you are interested in a fun Friday evening and watching a classic movie on the big screen again, then secure your tickets today! Advance tickets are $17 each and $22 on the day of the event. Attendees will be able to enjoy delicious cocktails, a “Kiss of Death” photo op, and more surprises before the screening! The film will begin at 7 p.m.
