Get into the holiday spirit with “Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas!” Whether your an adult who watched it when it first aired on television back in 1977 or a child seeing it for the very first time, this gentle and heartwarming Jim Henson special is bound to be a holiday favorite.
In the humble river town of Frogtown Hollow, Emmet and his Ma both dream of giving each other a real Christmas gift, something they haven’t been able to afford since Pa passed away. When a local talent contest is announced, each secretly enters, hoping to win the prize money and make the other’s Christmas wish come true.
Based on O. Henry’s short story “The Gift of the Magi,” and featuring music written by Paul Williams (“The Rainbow Connection”), “Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas” is a cute and cozy Christmas tale that’s rarely seen on the big screen. Don’t miss this holiday classic!
