Senior citizens (55+) are invited to join area teachers and their students for a free presentation of “To Kill a Mockingbird”, a powerful 1962 drama based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize–winning novel.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” is told through the eyes of Scout Finch, a spirited young girl growing up in 1930s in Maycomb, Alabama. Scout’s father, Atticus, is a lawyer who defends a Black man falsely accused of attacking a white woman.

With Gregory Peck’s iconic performance as Atticus Finch, the film blends courtroom drama with tender childhood memories, delivering a timeless message about justice, empathy, and standing up for what’s right.

After the film, join us for a talkback with senior citizens, teachers and students from our local community, and guest speaker, Rahway City Council President, Jeff Brooks. This screening is a digital presentation of the UCPAC Legacy Arts Club.
