Film Noir is sometimes called “the cinema of the disenchanted.” A genre known for its darkness in appearance and in sentiment, film noir experienced a golden age after WWII. Our Film Noir Summer series, part of our 35mm Classic Film Series, celebrates this important artform.
From the acclaimed masterpiece “The Maltese Falcon” starring Humphrey Bogart and Mary Astor, to the Billy Wilder and Raymond Chandler penned “Double Indemnity,” UCPAC is proud to present these legendary movies on our big screen, as they were meant to be seen.
Join us as we serve up suspense all season long with our Film Noir Summer, part of UCPAC’s 35mm Classic Film Series.
Be sure to check out our Hitchcock Weekend in July! Purchase a Weekend Pass to see all 3 films (“Strangers on a Train,” “North by Northwest,” and “Psycho”) and get a discounted ticket price. (Tickets are also available to purchase individually.)
With memorable characters like Sam Spade, Guy Hanes and Bruno Antony, Norman Bates, and more, these films are some of the most acclaimed in movie history. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy them in our classic movie palace in Rahway, New Jersey.
FREE popcorn comes with every ticket! Enjoy an organ concert played on our “Biggest Little Wurlitzer” one half-hour before the film starts followed by a classic film short. UCPAC shows classic films in 35mm all year long.
