OPEN HOUSE: THEATER CAMP RETURNS TO UCPAC FOR SUMMER 2026 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH Theatrical Artist’s Prep.

RAHWAY, NJ — If your theater-loving young artists are looking for a fun and interactive summer, look no further than Summer Theater Camp! Join Theatrical Artist’s Prep (T.A.P) & Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) on Wednesday, March 25 for the T.A.P. Summer Camp Open House for a chance to learn all about the available summer programs.

T.A.P., is an arts program “dedicated to providing exceptional performing arts education” that is partnering with UCPAC for their summer camp Conservatory program for the months of June and July. The program is a great opportunity for children and youth ages 8-18 who are eager to make new friends, develop their artistic talents and skills, and immerse themselves in a summer of art and performance.

During the open house, members of the T.A.P. team will provide you and your families with an overview of the summer program, as well as provide the opportunity to engage in a few exercises, such as a vocal warm up, a dance stretch, or even an acting game.

There are 3 programs available that the open house will cover: Youth Summer Musical Theater Conservatory, Teen Summer Musical Theater Conservatory, and Summer Conservatory: Pit Perfect. All 3 programs run 5 days a week from June through July and will take place in-person at UCPAC.

The Youth and Teen programs will feature theater games, classes in acting, dance, and voice, and specialty workshops with renowned industry professionals and will conclude in an original and fully composed musical called UNLIMITED—a handcrafted performance tailored to the students through solo opportunities and dynamic ensemble performances. The Youth program accepts children ages 8-12 and ages 13-17 for the Teen program.

The Pit Program, for ages 12-18, is more rigorous than the Youth and Teen programs. In this program, students will participate in daily rehearsals, advanced workshops, sight-reading sessions, and networking events led by T.A.P. coaches and guest artists within the industry, leading to an enriching, hands-on experience as they develop their skills across ensemble communication, professional rehearsal techniques, and more.

As with the other programs, students will prepare for their performance of UNLIMITED at UCPAC’s Hamilton Stage, which will be performed towards the end of July. Participants in the Pit Program must have at least two years of experience with an instrument and a passion for musical theatre.
