COWABUNGA! UNION COUNTY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER TO HOST SPECIAL 35MM SCREENING OF TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES FEATURING LIVE Q&A WITH MAKEUP ARTIST JEFF GOODWIN SEPTEMBER 17 AT 7 PM.
RAHWAY, N.J. — The Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) will host a special screening of the 1990 cult classic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” on 35mm. The event takes place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the historic UCPAC Main Stage, featuring an interactive Q&A session with veteran film makeup artist Jeff Goodwin.
Part of UCPAC’s ongoing I. Joseph Hyatt Classic Film Series which pays homage to our founding as a Movie Palace in 1928, this event offers film enthusiasts and families a nostalgic cinematic experience on authentic 35mm film. Doors open at 6:00 PM with the feature film beginning at 7:00 PM.
Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a live post-film Q&A with makeup artist Jeff Goodwin. Goodwin will reflect on his hands-on experience bringing iconic characters to life in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and share behind-the-scenes stories from his multi-decade career in Hollywood. Over his career, Goodwin has served as key makeup artist on dozens of major motion pictures, including David Lynch’s “Blue Velvet”, the historical epic “The Last of the Mohicans”, action classic “Rambo III”, and the original “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

This event is part of UCPAC’s programming supported by their New Jersey Economic Development Authority Activation, Revitalization, and Transformation (A.R.T.) program grant, which is aimed at mitigating the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting the development and recovery of New Jersey’s commercial corridors and invigorating community focused arts and cultural organizations.
