Set in nineteenth-century France, “Les Misérables” is a sweeping epic of love, sacrifice, and redemption. After years of unjust imprisonment, Jean Valjean breaks parole to begin a new life, determined to prove that mercy can triumph over hardship. But he is relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert, a man bound to the law and unwilling to believe that people can truly change.
As revolution brews in the streets of Paris, students rise up and lives intertwine in a powerful story of courage, compassion, and hope. At its heart is a father’s devotion, a young woman’s dream, and a society on the brink of transformation.
Based on the novel by Victor Hugo and featuring one of the most iconic scores in musical theatre history, this School Edition captures all the passion and grandeur of the world’s longest-running musical in a streamlined production running just over two hours.
