Join us for a 35mm screening of 1941’s “The Maltese Falcon,” director John Huston’s landmark 1941 film starring Humphrey Bogart as private detective Sam Spade, whose investigation into his client’s murder becomes a dangerous search for a legendary jeweled statue.
Surrounded by the mysterious Brigid O’Shaughnessy (Mary Astor), the smooth and sinister Kasper Gutman (Sydney Greenstreet), and the unforgettable Joel Cairo (Peter Lorre), Spade must figure out who is lying and who, if anyone, can be trusted.
Filled with unforgettable dialogue, this movie is widely considered one of the best films of all time and is a prime example of the film noir genre.
