THE ART OF PERFORMANCE EPISODE 1: PURLIE
Welcome to the premiere of UCPAC’s podcast The Art of Performance, hosted by Louis Rocky Bacigalupo, featuring the cast of Purlie, a musical based on the comedic play Purlie Victorious by Ossie Davis, presented by American Theater Group in partnership with Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) at UCPAC’s Hamilton Stage from March 6 – March 23.
Our guests include Director Kenny Ingram, and actors Aeja Barrows (Lutiebelle Gussiemae Jenkins), Timothy Ware-Hill (Purlie Victorius), Nicole Powell (Missy Judson), Kayla Caeser (Ensemble), and Maya Mays (Ensemble).
“Y’all got to come out and see this because this show hasn’t been done since the 70s and it’s totally relevant to what’s going on in the world right now.”
