CHRISTMAS CONCERT AT UCPAC | CHERISH THE LADIES CELEBRATE 40 YEARS OF CELTIC TRADITION.
RAHWAY, NJ – To kick off the holiday season, Cherish the Ladies will return to Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) on Sunday, December 7 for a special Celtic Christmas Concert. The band is celebrating 40 years of performing Celtic music around the world, combining traditional Irish music with incredible vocals and compelling step dancing to create a festive, family-friendly concert that will be unforgettable!
As part of their Celtic Christmas Program, Cherish the Ladies will perform classic, timeless holiday carols while featuring their signature Celtic sounds to give the audience a truly unique listening experience. Several songs on the program include “Silent Night,” “The First Noel,” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.”
“Celtic instrumentation blends beautifully with Christmas music,” said group leader Joanie Madden in a 2023 interview with TapInto Rahway. “Audiences love it, and we love getting them involved. Our singers, dancers, and musicians are incredibly talented, and the show truly offers something for everyone.”
The performance will present more than just great vocals and Irish music. Accompanying Cherish the Ladies on their 40th anniversary tour are renowned professional step dancers James Greenan and Tyler Schwartz, both World Champions, with Schwartz distinguished as a two-time titleholder. Joe Harrison, alumnus of Riverdance, and Nathan Pilatzke, Lord of the Dance and Canadian Champion dancer and Chieftains alumni, are also part of the step-dancing team who will join the performance.
