August kicks off strong with a Jim Henson double feature on the 2nd at 2 PM. The afternoon begins with “The Dark Crystal,” following Jen and Kira as they journey through the mysterious world of Thra to restore a shattered crystal and stop the life‑draining Skeksis from destroying their planet. Grab a snack at our café and settle in for “Labyrinth”, where Sarah races through a riddle‑filled maze to save her baby brother from Jareth, played by David Bowie, the mysterious Goblin King.
On September 17th, at 7 PM, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” brings the heroes in a half shell out of the New York sewers to take on Shredder and the Foot Clan in a totally tubular fight to save the city. Travel Skate Shop is rolling in with gear and goods straight from their store.
Just in time for spooky season UCPAC brings you Stephen King double feature on Friday, October 30th at 6 PM. This terrifying evening starts with “Carrie” and ends with “Pet Sematary.” Come early to enjoy a spooky organ concert played on our Biggest Little Wurlitzer.
November takes it back to the 80s with “The Karate Kid,” on Thursday the 19th at 7 PM. Come see if Mr. Miyagi’s unconventional training pays off when Daniel LaRusso takes on Johnny Lawrence at the All-Valley Karate Tournament. Don’t forget to dress up and stop and take a picture at our dojo-thememed photo op.
Celebrate Christmas Eve Eve with “The Polar Express,” on December 23rd at 6 PM. Set on Christmas Eve, this classic tells the story of a young boy who sees a mysterious train bound for the North Pole stop outside his window and is invited aboard by its conductor. He joins other children as they embark on a journey to visit Santa Claus. Take a picture with Santa and grab a cup of hot cocoa while you enjoy the holiday organ concert before the movie.
